We use premium long fiber cotton in a dense weave. The dense weave means that our socks can be thin to allow orthotics to do their job and support legs properly. Using high quality cotton means that these socks can stand up to tough wear and tear.
Longer length than standard knee socks to ensure proper leg coverage and just the right amount of stretch to keep socks in place.
These tall socks are great to wear under my daughters ankle foot orthotic braces and are thin enough to be comfortable. They breathe and wear well, as well as wash well. Much more affordable than a lot of other options out there for us!
I have a one year old son (was about 11.5 months when I bought these) who wears an AFO on his right foot due to a birth defect. These socks are the perfect. They're long enough for the AFO and to flip it back over the top velcro strap so that it doesn't scratch him or me.
